We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a top-notch PHP developer, familiar with the latest features in PHP, and have at least 2-4 years of overall information technology experience, of which 1-2 years of that experience is with enterprise\web\SaaS applications. The candidate will be responsible for Full stack development, Microservices and feature development, writing Unit and Integration tests, Rolling out a release to the production environment in AWS Cloud, Bugs investigation and live environment maintenance. The candidate should be a team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced, technical environment and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Microservices and features using PHP
Write Unit and Integration tests to ensure quality and stability of code
Roll out releases to the production environment in AWS Cloud
Investigate and resolve bugs in the live environment
Leverage technical knowledge and experience to support sprint teams
Participate in design and code reviews, contribute to technical discussions
Develop using Vagrant and its provisioning/setups using Ansible
Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues
Understand third-party integrations and incorporate support for them in the Build

Requirements

Required Competencies:

Expertise in PHP development, familiar with the latest features in PHP
Modern database development expertise, including stored procs, triggers, and views using MySQL
Professional and very strong experience in working/configuring PHP, Apache, MySQL, and CRON jobs on Linux Expert level JavaScript/XHTML/CSS development will be necessary
Experience building modern web services using REST principles
Good knowledge of AWS cloud-based development/deployment experience
Demonstrated knowledge of key AWS Services: IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, Kinesis, SNS, SQS, Elasticsearch, ElastiCache, API Gateway
Understanding of complex distributed applications in the Cloud (microservices)
Should have a good understanding of DevOps (preferably Jenkins)
2-3 years of AWS Cloud development experience
2-4 years of overall information technology experience, of which 1-2 years of that experience is with enterprise\web\SaaS applications
Work collaboratively with team members, stakeholders, and customers
Be an independent decision maker capable of operating within specified boundaries
Performance and scalability troubleshooting experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to understand a technical discussion and turn around and relay the same information to non-technical groups
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technical environment

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
Prior experience with Java will a plus
Experience with Front end technologies like React, Angular, and Node will be a plus.
