How can you make an Impact?

Joining this team as a Sr. Software Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the junior engineers, collaborating with QA, UX and product managers in scoping, developing and delivering roadmaps, successfully providing solutions that enhance personalization and engagement of remote learning experiences.

What will you do?

You will be working on the full software development cycle while supporting the junior engineers and reviewing the project objectives and determining best architecture for implementation.
Actively developing, scoping and deploying new features (using AGILE) by partnering with cross functional teams.
Understanding the product vision and new development required that can help customers in their learning journey.
Reviewing the development against business requirements in coordination with product and program managers.
Integrating tools and procedures to streamline processes for other developers.
Taking new Initiatives to develop internal tools, procedures, and bringing efficiencies to the business processes.
Reviewing emerging technologies and evaluating potential uses for ALEKS’s Technical Department. Develop prototype projects using new technologies.

What can you bring to the role?

Natural curiosity to continually improve your craft and enjoys sharing knowledge with the team.
3-7 years of experience in software engineering with experience in JavaScript, Node.Js, HTML5, CSS, SQL.
Experience working on cross-browser platforms.
Experience with Test-driven development.
Set a positive example in regard to advancing technical competence and using healthy debate to resolve differences and build consensus.
Experience developing and sharing engineering best practices and helping other engineers grow their skills.

Our Benefits

The pay range for this position is between $130,000 – $150,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
