About Praktio

Praktio provides practical, interactive, online training solutions to the world’s leading law firms and corporations. We’re a lean startup based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, founded by a Michigan Law professor, and spun out from the University. About the Opportunity

At Praktio, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a small team and have an enormous impact on our product development capabilities and user experience. You’ll report to the company’s CTO and work closely with the company’s CEO/founder and Design Lead to build and advance the interfaces on all sides of our existing and new platforms. This is a 100% remote position, so you can work from anywhere in the US.

Develop, deploy, test, and support user-facing software products for:
our training products/courses
our new Learner Management System platform
Praktio Author, our internal elearning authoring tool
our marketing website
Effectively communicate with the team throughout the process of developing requirements, documentation, and test plans

About You

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
Demonstrated experience as a corporate professional, or enterprise-level experience as a front-end software developer
Experience working with a Design team, including implementing interfaces using design guidance (e.g., a design system and mockups) and providing input to enable the Design team to design interfaces that are efficient (and viable) for the Dev team to code

Proficiency in:

JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML, with knowledge of recent versions of ECMAScript (ES6+). NOTE: TypeScript is required.
React (version 16+ recommended)
React Redux and React Router
Node.js
Jest

Experience with:

building Single-Page Applications
Test-Driven Development
agile methodologies and concepts
version control software (Git, SVN, etc.)
client-side performance considerations and cross-browser compatibility issues
processing real-time data updates using AJAX or WebSockets while dynamically updating UIs

Experience with
CSS preprocessors (SASS, STYL, etc.)
JIRA and its workflow

Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Fastly, DigitalOcean, etc.)
