Role

QC Ware is hiring a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to help us build new products aimed at specific industry verticals. The software engineering team's primary focus is to leverage the work of our quantum algorithms teams (in Chemistry, Optimization, Finance, and Machine Learning) into enterprise-ready products. Our Software Engineers design and implement products that drive innovation for our customers.

As a Senior or Staff Front End Engineer, you will…

Own user-facing product features throughout their life cycle, from design, implementation, and into production.
Improve our technical architecture, code quality, and engineering culture to continually step up the quality and speed of our delivery.
Collaborate on the design and development of entirely new products and services from the ground up, working closely with other software engineers, and the infrastructure, product, and quantum algorithm teams.
Add capabilities to the various systems and services that support our products, with automated instrumentation and monitoring to require minimal operational maintenance.
Ensure thorough automated testing of features, functionality, and services.
Write code that is high-quality, performant, and straightforward to maintain.
Proactively identify opportunities for improving the usability, performance and scalability of our systems.
Autonomously solve hard technical problems as required to solve customer pain points.
Assume a leadership role within your domain, and play a role in helping others on the team be successful.

Our ideal candidate will have…

A BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years experience shipping scalable and well-maintained application code in production.
Professional coding experience with Javascript or Typescript.
Professional coding experience with at least one major Javascript framework and/or library such as React, Vue, Svelte, Angular, or, Next.js.
Experience delivering customer-facing product features in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in building scientific tools for technical users.
Experience building interactive visualizations with libraries such as d3.js.
