THE CHALLENGE

We’re looking for experienced full stack Roblox developers to build best-in-class Roblox experiences in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team of creative pioneers. Candidates need to be passionate, talented, collaborative and have the ability to develop best-in-class Roblox experiences in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Be a disciplined self-starter, excited to work on a wide variety of game types.
Work directly with Creative and Product teams to scope and deliver game features.
Take direct accountability for game features from planning to delivery.
Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, scalable code.
Work directly with clients to help translate their KPIs into gameplay experiences.
Coordinate with QA leads and product managers to validate the reliability of your
features.

QUALIFICATIONS
A strong candidate for this position should have the following qualities:
6-10 years of experience on the Roblox platform.
2+ years of experience programming Luau on Roblox.
Be a concise verbal and written communicator who is comfortable being on cam.
Experience using Roblox Studio, Rojo, and GitHub in a team environment.
Ability to adapt to a team environment and protocols.
Familiarity with:

○Roblox API and Services

○ Object Oriented Programming

○ CFrame manipulation

○ Luau

○ Efficient data handling

○ StreamingEnabled

○ Roblox Lua Style Guide

○ MemoryStoreService

○ Data structures

○ UI/UX design

○ Performance optimization and the MicroProfiler

○ Cross-platform design

NICE TO HAVES
Familiarity with open-source community tools such as Nevermore, Maids, Promises, Signals, etc.
Familiarity with advanced applied math concepts
Experience designing UX flows in Figma.
Experience making Roblox Studio plugins.
Experience with custom avatar rigs and character controllers.
Interest in web development and familiarity with front-end frameworks.

Our office is located in Los Angeles. You will have the option to work from our office or remotely.

This freelance position is hourly but general work hours are M-F 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM. Top performers will have the opportunities to move to full time if everyone is aligned.

Compensation:

$40 - $60/hr based on experience
