About The Role
Peraton'sStrategic Innovation Group is seeking an experienced User Interface Software Engineer to join our Technology and Engineering Software Delivery Center to support exciting projects across Peraton in areas such as communications, space, cybersecurity, defense, health, and mobile.
As a UI/UX Software Engineer on our team, you'll have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment that allows you to grow your skills and your career while building experience in a variety of different projects and domains. You'll work in an Agile software environment to develop compelling, creative, and user-focused designs for a variety of software applications.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field and 2 to 5 years of professional experience working as a Software Engineer with a focus on user interface development.
Experience working with front-end technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS, along with frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, JQuery, etc.
Experience working with back-end technologies such as Java and Python, especially for the development of APIs, web services, and web applications.
Knowledge of professional software development practices, such as source code management, code reviews, and testing.
Demonstrated ability to learn new program languages and technologies quickly.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Experience working with UX designers and other software engineers in a team setting.
Experience with front-end testing tools, such as Cypress, Jest, and Selenium.
Experience with AWS development, including EC2, API Gateway, etc.
Prior experience working with DevSecOps processes and tools.
Experience or interest in providing technical leadership to a team and mentoring junior personnel.
Location: Herndon, VA or Blacksburg, VA (Must reside within 25 miles of either location)

Details
Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
