As part of the Client Engineering team, you’ll be dedicated to creating engaging and intuitive user interfaces for both mobile and web clients.
As a User Interface Developer you will be designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications, taking full, end-to-end ownership, including writing test cases, setting up monitoring, etc. You will also participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback, as well as ensuring that code coverage is sufficient to guarantee a high degree of reliability.
You might be a good fit if you have:
- Design and develop user interfaces according to the latest design guidelines and principles.
- Develop and maintain the client-side components of the social media platform.
- Have experience with client-side technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Svelte, Vue, and Angular.
- Optimize the performance of the front-end of the platform.
- Work with distributed systems and develop, deploy, and maintain REST APIs.
- Work with development teams to ensure that system changes are properly tested and deployed.
- Design and develop responsive web applications for various devices.
- Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure the quality of the code base.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
Experience:
- 5-7 years experience (if you have strong project related experience and success in other roles, we can chat about that)
- Ability to work in start-up environments where tasks, projects, and daily priorities may and can be ambiguous.
- Anticipatory desire to lean ahead and solve problems which are often unknown or unplanned (we’re building this thing from scratch; we don’t know what we don’t know).
- Being able to stretch and shrink against shared company and team goals; some days will feel like working at the summit and others at base camp.
