YOUR MISSION: Your mission is to lead the development of our service provider products. Our providers are those who serve our customers when they have a roadside incident. This means you will own the feasibility and delivery of service provider management with the highest quality and support.
YOUR LEGACY: Your legacy will include building and maintaining the portals, apps, and services for service provider management with real time updates and high quality data. The result? You helped Urgently become the world’s leading mobility assistance company.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
1) First 2 months:
- Understand our development environment and philosophy.
- Understand how our current Service Provider apps, portals, and system works.
2) First 6 months:
- Understand the mission of the Service Provider systems
- Take over the development of the existing Service Provider portals, apps, and services.
- Extend the service provider portals and apps with the latest technology
3) Ongoing...
- Build features for Service Providers
- Involve in day-to-day challenges evolving in the service provider systems.. Monitor critical alerts and daily logs and own the analysis
- The candidate will be responsible for inducing themselves towards maintaining the operability of the services, portals, apps in the production environment
WHO YOU ARE:
Technical Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related technology field
- 7+ years working in mobile web-development in similar environments
- In depth and demonstrable knowledge of Angular JS, React JS, Javascript frameworks.
- Must have experience with abstracting CSS, JS, and HTML code to allow designers to make changes without involving front-end engineers
- Previous experience providing clients feedback on front-end strategy, framework selection and emerging technologies
- Experience with MicroFrontend frameworks
- Expert architecture and code review
- Contribute to the development of our internal tools and reusable architecture
- Integration experience between React JS, and AngularJS
- Experience creating optimized code and performance improvement for production system and applications
- Unit and system testing frameworks, familiarity with Jest framework
- Must have Git experience
- Detail Oriented: As a lead engineer, you excel at keeping detailed documentation of what you and your team are developing.
- Dedicated: You own the apps that you and your team are developing and take quality very seriously.
- Problem Solving: You proactively solve problems before they can become real problems. You are constantly upgrading your skill set and applying those practices.
- Technical Leadership: You are a technical leader and are always mentoring developers as well as articulating the design to a team of developers.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with Test Driven Development
- Experience with logistics software (delivery, transportation, route planning), RSA domain
THE NITTY GRITTY:
- Location = Great news! You have the option of working from anywhere in the U.S.!
- Manager = You’ll report to Director of Application Development
- Compensation = The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
