We are seeking a Sr. Frontend Engineer who is self motivated and willing to help us refine and tighten our process as we grow.
In this role you will be developing our next data exploration tool. Built on top of our existing Node JS API layer, you will use the latest technology and design patterns to deliver a world-class user experience for finding medical data. We have billions of records worth of data to show, so we need some critical thinkers who can think of a way to efficiently show data, while being scalable and extensible.
What you'll need
● 9+ years of meaningful engineering experience
● Experience with Angular or another UI component framework, Material UI,
JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
● You are passionate about data, code reusability, componentization, and building
for scale
● Experience in cross-browser, multi-surface compatibility of application behaviors
● Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
● Knowledge of working with large data and some of the challenges that come with
a distributed backend
● Experience with component API design
● BONUS: Experience in Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, GIT,
GitLab, and common JS debugger tools
What you'll do
● Lead the technical design of various frontend solutions for data exploration
● Collaborate closely with PM and backend engineers to understand customer
needs and translate them into product features
● Participate in the development of project timelines, implementation design
specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing
support of systems
● Maintain and improve existing code with a pride of ownership
● Mentor others on the team and help to improve the team's processes
● Help with the decisions to build or buy
