Vice President of Software Development
Location: New York, NY (3 days/week on site minimum)
Compensation: $330,000–$370,000 base + 40% bonus + equity

They process half a million events per second through their telemetry pipeline and recently expanded into fintech through a major acquisition in 2025, establishing a strong presence in NYC.
The Role
We are seeking a Vice President of Software Development to lead a global engineering organization of 300+ professionals, with approximately 10 direct reports. This is a high-visibility, C-suite-facing role reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving customer-facing applications (mobile, web) and backend/infrastructure initiatives.
- Leading integration of existing products with newly acquired fintech platforms, leveraging valuable assets.
- Championing AI implementation across applications and internal operations—new AI products are already in production, with a goal of 30%+ productivity gains.
- Scaling systems to handle large-scale, real-time environments.
- Influencing business and technology strategy at the highest level.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of commercial software development leadership experience.
- Proven success in fintech or regulated financial environments (e.g., Stripe, Plaid, Chime, Chase, Capital One).
- Expertise in large-scale, real-time systems.
- Strong technical foundation (Java, React, Scala experience helpful; migration experience a plus).
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, Fortune 500 environment that feels like a startup.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for AI-driven innovation.
