Senior Software Engineer (12-Month Contract)

Position Summary
We are partnering with a client to fill a 12-month contract role for a Senior Software Engineer. This position focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in .NET technologies, SQL Server, and modern web frameworks—especially React. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, mission-critical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET Core, React, and SQL Server
- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate front-end/back-end components
- Participate in the Agile/Scrum development lifecycle
- Optimize application performance and scalability
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Mentor junior developers and promote best practices
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional web development experience
- 3+ years with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- 3+ years with .NET (C#) and ASP.NET Core/MVC
- Strong SQL Server experience (complex queries, performance optimization)
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design
- Experience with Git or similar version control
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM tools
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform
