Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Growth Engineer to join our team. As a Growth Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving user acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through data-driven experimentation and optimization strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities, implement experiments, and iterate on strategies to scale our user base and revenue streams. The ideal candidate is part software engineer, part data scientist, and part growth marketer.

📌 Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000. We consider an individual's background and experience in determining the final salary- therefore, the base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits and equity.

📌 Required Experience:

• 3+ years of React and TypeScript experience.
• 2+ years of experience with data analytics with platforms like Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA, etc.
• 1+ year of experience with SQL, BigQuery, or a related querying language.
• Strong CSS skills. You'll be responsible for creating highly detailed, responsive UI.
• Being open to learning Swift, Kotlin, or other programming languages if not already familiar.
• Familiar with SEO best practices or open to acquiring knowledge in this area.
• Professional experience leading and running A|B tests.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is ideal
• Proven experience as a Growth Engineer, preferably in a startup environment
• Strong proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude) and A/B testing platforms.
• Proficiency in web development languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) with the ability to implement and iterate on experiments.
• Has worked closely with a non-engineering team (e.g. growth, design)
• Passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and driving sustainable growth in a dynamic startup environment.
• Direct experience implementing strategies for organic user acquisition and customer engagement
• Excels working autonomously in a remote environment
  
  

📌 Major Responsibilities:

• Fullstack role focusing on website, iOS, and Android app development
• Optimize our user-generated-content pages (https://poly.cam/explore) to improve SEO
• Develop and execute data-driven growth strategies to acquire, activate, and retain users.
• Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests, multivariate tests, and other experiments to optimize user acquisition funnels, onboarding flows, and conversion rates.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to prioritize and implement growth initiatives.
• Utilize analytics tools, such as Amplitude, to track conversions, and uncover insights that drive growth.
• Continuously iterate and optimize growth strategies based on performance metrics and user feedback.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in growth and user acquisition.

• Experience with a customer engagement platform like Braze or a CRM like HubSpot
• Prior mobile application development experience with React Native, Swift, and Kotlin
