Technical Support Engineer (Automation/ Service Management)
We are looking for an experienced Support Engineer with a passion for excellence. The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for managing and resolving challenging issues for ServiceNow partners and customers. This includes developing subject matter expertise within the technical support department. The engineer is responsible for owning and resolving issues on a daily basis, technical cases created by customers seeking help to understand or resolve an unexpected behavior or answer technical questions about the ServiceNow software and platform.
Required Skills
- Experience writing and debugging JavaScript Code or similar language
- Working knowledge of Web Technologies (Apache, Tomcat, HTML, XML, JSON)
- Understanding of remote administration via SSH, SNMP, WMI, PowerShell
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
ROLE 2
Technical Support Engineer (Performance)
The Performance Support Engineer will be responsible for managing and resolving the most challenging issues for the ServiceNow Technical Support team focusing on Performance and instance availability. This includes being the last point of escalation within the technical support department. The successful candidate will be able to quickly gain an understanding of the ServiceNow platform. This is a customer-facing role and therefore it requires strong inter-personal skills in addition to strong technical skills.
Required Skills
- Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Java experience- ability to read and understand object oriented design principles and memory management
- Experience in one (or more) scripting languages- JavaScript is preferred. Python or Perl-plus
- Basic Unix/Linux experience
- Experience diagnosing performance degradation (e.g. explain plans, database tuning)
- Strong teammate with high level of commitment and excellent communication skills
ROLE 3
Technical Support Engineer (Integrations)
Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems.
Required Skills
- Knowledge on LDAP/Active?Directory, SSO?or other authentication or user management systems
- Understanding of Email?Troubleshooting (e.g. Office 365, Exchange )?
- Knowledge on Web?Services (SOAP, REST)?
- Working knowledge on Network troubleshooting (e.g. Ping, Telnet)
- Hands on experience in any?bi-directional, integration between two systems?
- Some experience with Scripting languages:? JavaScript preferred
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with the gathering and reading of various log files
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $45/hr. on W2
