QTalo is on a mission to reshape business leadership and foster a more efficient, engaged workforce. As an early-stage startup, we need a talented Front-End Engineer to help build the user interface of our SaaS platform from the ground up.

This is an opportunity to have an immense impact on our product and culture. You'll collaborate with our CTO, designers, researchers, and other engineers to implement core features.

We’re looking for a junior-to-mid level front-end engineer who geeks out on solving complex problems and building dynamic user interfaces. Our focus is giving the average person quick and easy access to emergent technologies.

This is a full-time remote role with flexible work arrangements open to anyone in the United States or Canada. Our asynchronous team connects several times a week for tight collaboration.

Job description


The Front-End Engineer will be responsible for creating and implementing an interactive, intuitive, and visually appealing user interface using our existing Figma designs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development, proficiency in modern web technologies (React with Typescript), and a passion for implementing exceptional user experiences.

This role will be a member of the engineering team and will report to the CTO.

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and back-end engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications and UI designs.
  • Develop responsive and scalable user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
  • Optimize application performance and user experience by implementing best practices in front-end development, including code optimization, browser compatibility, and accessibility.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code standards and best practices are maintained.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in front-end development and user interface design, and proactively recommend new tools, technologies, and techniques to improve our development process and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience as a Front-End Engineer
  • Proficiency React, NextJs, and Typescript
  • Experience with AWS’s Amplify and Cognito/OAuth
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows using tools like GitHub.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Experience working in early-stage startups and working from Figma files is a plus
