Our Business Development team in the Eastern Region is looking for a talented Sr. Associate Developer to help support the efforts of our fast-growing company. The position will be based remotely in the U.S. (with a strong preference for someone in the Northeast with close access to a major airport), with periodic travel to our Oakland, California office and other locations. Overview

This position will work in our Business Development team in the Eastern Region. The team’s near-term focus is on expanding our utility-scale solar PV + storage project portfolio through acquisitions and greenfield development throughout the region. This role will be focused on development in PJM and Northeast markets and will report to the Vice President of Development, Eastern Region. The position is open to remote candidates on the East Coast or

Southeast with a preference for close proximity to major cities/airports.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage the development of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. This is a commercially-focused, multi-disciplinary role with responsibility for multiple projects at various stages of development

• Lead project coordination with internal teams and external consultants, including project finance, engineering, construction, and legal teams

• Independently manage and perform project development tasks in order to advance acquired or greenfield-developed projects to construction and commercial operation

• Communicate project attributes and key risks to the management team in support of investment decision making

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of proven success in the acquisition and/or greenfield development of utility-scale renewable energy projects

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Well organized and capable of managing multiple projects through all development stages, from land prospecting through the start of commercial operation

• Must have project management experience in renewables with a preference for development experience in NYISO, ISONE, and PJM

• Solid understanding of project economic drivers and risks, with project finance modeling experience a plus

• Has experience navigating the interconnection process in NYISO and PJM

• Able to set up and maintain project budgets and schedules

• Knowledge of and experience in the commercial/regulatory activities of NYISO, ISONE, and PJM

• Understanding of available project offtake agreements, such as PPA, VPPA, etc.

• Excellent communications skills

• Able to travel up to 40%, visiting the corporate office, project sites, third-party consultants, transmission planning engineers, landowners, and local officials, as needed.
