Job Summary:

We have an immediate opening for the role of Sr Software Engineer in Louisville, KY or remote. This role will report directly to the manager of software development. They will work as a member of the agile development team and be responsible for development of product features and capabilities.

What you will be doing:

Work in an agile team to design, implement and test product features, fixes, and improvements
Work with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are appropriately defined
Create appropriate developer-level documentation, to maintain consistent designs and support maintenance efforts
Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the robust product portfolio
Work with DevOps and the team to identify and resolve production issues
Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement in technology and processes

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us:

Required:

5+ years of professional development experience in C# and .NET

Professional experience developing web applications using HTML, JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience developing with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Postgres
Experience with cloud-based web applications or web services (any cloud provider is acceptable, prefer AWS)
Experience with the use of RESTful API’s
Experience with microservice architecture
Comfortable supporting and maintaining existing applications, in addition to doing new development
Able to guide problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts

Able to work with minimal guidance to complete tasks

Desired:

Experience with any or all the following: data pipeline platforms, ETL, ELT, data processing and storage architecture for warehousing / reporting / analytics
Experience with a front-end framework such as Vue (preferred), React or Angular
Familiar with multiple unit testing and automated testing frameworks
Experience developing/maintaining applications deployed with Docker/Kubernetes
Experience with .NET Core 6.x
Experience with distributed message queueing
Experience working on an Agile team
