Key Responsibilities:

The Principal Software Engineer is a key role in our organization, helping determine technical direction and implement critical solutions that will delight customers and accelerate our agile teams with industry leading reliability and security. Responsibilities for principal engineers include overall architecture, design and implementation of robust, well designed, secure solutions that provide users a great software experience. Additionally you’ll extend your expertise into technical thought leadership, mentoring, and leading best practice initiatives across our teams. Principal Engineers lead the charge in envisioning and building critical, scalable and secure solutions that will meet the needs of our growing customer base.

Experience and Professional Qualifications:

Excellent collaboration and communication skills and experience mentoring others
Extensive experience with cloud/cloud-native platforms, concepts and technologies (AWS, GCP, etc…)
Deep expertise designing and implementing highly reliable, scalable software with excellent end user experience, leveraging best practices and innovative technology and frameworks.
Passionate about building robust and secure SaaS platforms and solutions
Mastery of existing architectural styles (SOA, Microservices, Monolith, Kernel, etc..), patterns and frameworks - when and where to use and how to execute successfully
Proven ability to innovate and blend new IP with best-in-class technologies
Expertise up and down the stack and proven ability to drive excellence across the organization
Self driven and detail oriented with a passion for learning and teaching
Scrum/Kanban or other agile work decomposition and management methodologies

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

NodeJS, Golang, Typescript, React (or other framework)
SQL in general but MySQL, PostgreSQL (or other RDBMS)
NoSQL, object and massive file storage platforms
Caching/NoSQL datastores (Redis, Memcached, etc…)
Automation experience (Gitlab, build/deploy, testing, etc…)
Kubernetes, Docker containerization
BS Computer Science (MS or PhD preferred) or equivalent experience in large scale SaaS organizations
10-15 years of experience in software engineering with a track record of excellence and technical leadership
