Job Description: This is a remote contract role for a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer at First Wave AI. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for both the back-end and front-end development of our AI systems. You will be instrumental in developing a sophisticated software product that leverages Digital Ocean, Twilio's Voice API, and the OpenAI API to create an interactive customer service application. We are transforming the interactive voice response (IVR) experience. Your role will primarily involve building our API gateway. You will have a list of hundreds of different API integrations that we need to implement. You will need to research capabilities, availability, and costs associated with external APIs. This position requires a proactive and inventive approach to integrate various technologies and ensure a scalable, efficient application architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrate external 3P APIs into our existing backend system.
Ensure the application’s scalability and manage the storage solutions efficiently on Digital Ocean.
Collaborate with product teams to understand and interpret design documentation accurately.
Maintain and improve code quality through regular code reviews and by using GitHub for version control.
Stay updated with the latest developments in API integrations, AWS services, and AI technologies.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in full stack development.
3+ years of integrating external APIs
Proficient with DO cloud services, and experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or MS Azure is a plus.
Strong experience with API integrations, specifically with Twilio Voice API and OpenAI API.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, React, Node.js
Experienced in using GitHub for source control and familiar with CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Front-End Development
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Experience with AI technology
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
