The Role: Full Stack Engineer

As a Full Stack Engineer at Glow, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our existing systems while spearheading the development of new, exciting projects. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of designers, developers, and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions that delight our users.

What You’ll Be Working On

Current Challenges

React Frontend Maintenance: Maintain and enhance our current React-based frontend to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience.
GraphQL Middleware: Optimize and expand our middleware layer built with GraphQL to facilitate efficient data querying and manipulation.
Node.js Backend with PostgreSQL: Maintain and improve our backend services developed in Node.js, ensuring seamless integration with our PostgreSQL databases.

Future Projects

React Native Android App: Lead the development of a React Native application for Android, extending our platform’s reach to mobile users.
UI Tool Development: Collaborate with the design team to build a user-friendly UI tool that enhances the play creation experience, requiring basic design skills to create intuitive interfaces
Automatic Payouts: Creators are making money on Glow! Improve the legacy manual process of payouts and allow creators to automatically withdraw payments using payment providers

What We’re Looking For

Proven Experience: Strong experience with React.js for frontend development, Node.js for backend development, and PostgreSQL for database management.
GraphQL Proficiency: Hands-on experience with GraphQL, including schema design, resolvers, and query optimization.
Full Stack Expertise: Ability to navigate both frontend and backend technologies seamlessly, ensuring cohesive and efficient application performance.
React Native (Bonus): Experience with React Native is a plus, especially for developing mobile applications.
Design Acumen: Basic design skills to contribute to UI tool development, ensuring user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities to address and resolve complex technical challenges.
Collaborative Spirit: Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
