Position Overview

We're seeking a senior WordPress developer who can transform creative concepts into powerful, scalable websites. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design and functionality, building custom WordPress solutions that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch, turning unique designs into pixel-perfect, responsive websites
Create and maintain complex WordPress multisite networks and implement custom functionality for enterprise-level clients
Optimize website performance through advanced caching, database optimization, and code efficiency
Implement security best practices and maintain regular backup systems
Collaborate with designers to ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Build custom integrations with third-party APIs and services
Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on projects
Develop and maintain documentation for all custom development work

Required Technical Skills

5+ years of professional WordPress development experience
Expert-level PHP programming skills with strong Object-Oriented Programming principles
Advanced knowledge of WordPress core, including hooks, filters, and the REST API
Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery)
Experience with modern development tools (Git, npm, Webpack, Gulp)
Strong understanding of WordPress security practices and performance optimization
Expertise in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Experience with custom post types, taxonomies, and Advanced Custom Fields

Additional Requirements

Portfolio demonstrating custom WordPress development projects
Experience with WooCommerce and other major WordPress plugins
Knowledge of MySQL and database optimization
Familiarity with modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony)
Understanding of SEO principles and best practices
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with headless WordPress and REST API development
Knowledge of React or Vue.js
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms
Contributions to WordPress core or plugin development
Experience with automated testing and deployment
