We are looking to add a top-notch online Digital Editor that understands how to source and write great cannabis and hemp related business news and use best practices to achieve strong SEO and engagement online.

What we’re looking for:

As the proud parents of multiple award-winning publications, we are seeking a dynamic and talented Digital Editor to oversee the production and publication of cananbis business news. As the Digital Editor, you will be responsible for planning and executing frequent online content using best practices. You will also be responsible for managing the website, ensuring that it is always updated with fresh and engaging content and some work on newsletter and social and must have strong online skills.

Responsibilities:

Plan and execute breaking, long-form and business content around cannabis
Manage the magazine's website, ensuring it is always updated with fresh and engaging content.
Gather and manage a team of freelancers and contributors.
Establish yearly and quarterly budgets
Assist in the promotion of each magazine, ensuring it gets in front of as many eyes as possible.
Meet assigned deadlines.
Assist with other tasks as needed with CBD TV, a streaming channel
Represent IPW and Innovation & Tech Today at events.
Manage or assist in all content, including video, podcasts, or written content and celebrity outreach and managing PR firms.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in magazine or digital content production, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Familiarity with content management systems and website analytics.
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
A passion for technology, innovation, and the latest trends in the industry.
