Narrativ uses near-perfect human voices generated by machine learning to create and read podcast-quality audio versions of existing newspaper articles that can support ads. We believe that Narrativ can create an entirely new class of audio content for people to consume that meets their current consumption preferences. In the last decade, readership has plunged in the face of listenership, and we want to be the entity that enables consumers to listen to anything that was previously limited to written form. We have 4 distinct products:

An integrated player that can serve audio directly on publisher websites
A mobile app that aggregates audio content across all of our publisher partners
An audio ad platform that we use to create unique copy for many different audiences
A publisher platform that our partners can use to track the performance of their narrated content

Who You Are

The Full Stack Software Engineer position will be responsible for assisting our team across several initiatives. These may include: building ad logic, assisting with new newspaper integrations, fleshing out the infrastructure for our publisher platform, improving our app experience, etc.

This employee will work closely with the CTO and back-end / data specialist in order to create the best user experience possible.

The ideal candidate will also thrive in a culture of growth, learning, and independence. As one of the first employees of Narrativ, our team will expect you to be able to manage your own work with a high degree of autonomy and become a strategic thought partner to the co-founders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
2-5 years of working experience as a full stack engineer
Excellent communication skills
Experience in AdTech or MarTech (specific experience with LUMAscape a big plus!)
Prior experience with ad monetization platforms
