About the Role

This is a player/coach with ~80% coding and in the trenches (with fullstack JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS) while the remaining time will be managing/leading a team. We are looking for someone to be an AI champion to help our client integrate AI-powered tools to build modern, intelligent applications. You should bring prior experience building and launching AI first consumer-facing apps. You'll work across the stack using Next.js and AWS Serverless technologies to create user-facing features and backend services that leverage LLMs and vector databases.

What You'll Do

Build scalable, full-stack applications using Next.js, TypeScript, and AWS Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.)
Integrate with LLM APIs and implement embeddings using vector databases
Develop AI-powered product features using RAG architecture, function calling, and conversation memory
Design and optimize prompt engineering for reliability and safety
Collaborate closely with product and design to prototype and ship impactful solutions quickly

What You'll Bring

8+ years of software development experience, with deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
Prior experience working on AI/LLM-integrated products
Experience integrating LLM/AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
Experience with AWS Serverless development (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS)
Experience with Next.js
Understanding of key AI concepts, including:
Prompt engineering techniques
Experience building and deploying full-stack applications
Familiarity with tools like Pinecone, Weaviate, or LangChain
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
