JOB TITLE: Application Developer

JOB SUMMARY

Will work on both the front-end and back-end of React/Node.js-based applications. Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains software applications. Analyzes requirements, and maintains, tests, and integrates application components. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented. Usually requires 2 to 3+ years of previous experience.

Overview of the role

What will they be doing on a day-to-day basis:

• Develop and maintain software systems used in our internal business processes.

• Work includes design, documentation, development, debugging, and testing of software to provide new system functionality or enhance and support existing workflows. Will be expected to follow team coding standards and processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Experience

• BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum of 2 to 3+ years of experience with the following:

NodeJS, ReactJS and/or C#.NET development
Object-oriented design experience, including applied use of design patterns and MVC technologies
Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar technologies

• Experience designing and/or contributing to highly scalable and distributed software systems

• Experience with unit tests, integration testing, and test automation.

• Experience/familiarity with the following:

Code repository management
Code merge
Quality checks
Continuous integration
Automated deployment & management using tools (such as Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant, Docker, and/or other comparable tools)

Skills

• Experience with building APIs and other technologies.

• Experience data modeling for large-scale databases, either relational or NoSQL (graph, key: value,

document, etc.)

• Experience with AWS Cloud or similar

Target Pay Range: $50-$70 - hourly to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
