Savage X Fenty is looking for a remote Staff Software Engineer to join our Retail Engineering Team.

Technology might not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Savage X Fenty, but you’d be surprised. From database, APIs, machine learning, and ecommerce systems, we build everything in house in collaboration with TechStyleOS.

Our retail team is a small but powerful force that manages all aspects of our retail technology, from the management app our store associates use to our innovative FitXperience technology. We utilize a wide technology stack and our team members are incredibly talented full stack engineers who work together to build and improve our APIs and applications.

As a Staff Engineer, you’d be the primary technical leader of the team, driving the team’s technical standard, working closely with Product to lead implementation of projects, and reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.

What You Will Be Doing

Leads most technically complex projects
Focus on team’s highest priority KIs
Works with product to scope and tech design projects
Defines and starts new technical projects
Drives technical standards and process for the team
Defines new architecture and approaches under supervision
Maintains ongoing relationships with other parts of the company
Leads the team on projects & assists with non-people management tasks
Mentors other developers on the team
Defines best practices and performs code reviews
Develops in depth documentation for training and processes
Assists in support and troubleshooting efforts for critical system issues

What You Can Bring

5+ years of professional hands-on software engineering experience
5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript
3+ years of professional experience with Node.js
2+ years of staff or equivalent leadership level engineering experience
2+ years of professional experience with React Native
2+ years of professional experience with TypeScript
Experience writing unit and E2E tests
Experience with large, scalable APIs in Node.js and NestJS
Experience supporting uptime critical environments
Experience with ecommerce and enterprise systems
Experience with MSSQL, including stored procedures
Experience in iOS mobile development (or willingness to learn)
Flexible schedule (our team primarily works PST hours)
Great communication (we use Slack)

Bonuses

Experience migrating iOS native apps to React Native
Experience in ColdFusion
Experience providing diagnostic and tech support to non-technical teams
Experience supporting technology & hardware

This role will be remote but our office is based in our El Segundo Headquarters

The annual base salary range for this position is from $165,000 to $181,500. Offers to candidates are expected to fall within this range and will depend on the scope and complexity of the role, work experience, subject matter expertise, work location and other relevant factors.
