The Senior Front End Developer Position

Sunnova Energy is searching for a Senior Front-End Developer to join its dynamic team in Houston, TX. The position will be responsible for helping to produce and maintain Sunnova digital products. Makes pragmatic decisions using thorough knowledge of front-end technologies. Works with team members to ensure highest quality content and ensuring products are accessible across many platforms (Websites, Smartphones, etc.).

Senior Front End Developer Responsibilities

Produces UI systems based on project requirements or designed wireframes.
Participates in design meetings to create logical, innovative decisions for new and evolving designs.
Works in all phases of the software development life cycle including functional analysis, development of technical requirements, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
Participates in daily scrums, work with Scrum Master and QA Team on projects and supports delivery timelines and priorities.
Solves problems independently with limited supervision.
Works effectively in a matrix environment where 1) day-to-day tasks are determined and executed on agile/scrum team under the leadership of a scrum master and 2) career development and coaching, goal setting, performance evaluations and issue escalation are coordinated through a separate manager.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in computer science, software engineering, or information systems
6+ years professional experience in Front-End Development.
Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Advanced Knowledge using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue
Advanced Knowledge using Typescript

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Full-Stack Developer.
Experience with OOP using languages like Java or C#.
Exposure to Salesforce.
Experience working with SQL and/or large data volumes.
Understanding of WCAG 2.0 AA Standards.

Solid analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with a variety of internal and external parties.
Ability to identify opportunities for technical improvements in specific processes and recommend solutions.
