Job description

XGen Ai is currently looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer that is a specialist in React and has full stack (backend) capabilities. XGen Ai provides the leading eCommerce ML technology for enterprise brands and automates data science processes for Brand managers. This role will be the lead engineer developing XGen Ai’s customer-facing SaaS platforms, reporting to the CTO, and as such will be required to have a variety of senior-level skills.

Skills Required:

Ability to develop frontend features that are simple to use for the user following the principle of “Don’t make me think.”
Ability to work with UI/UX designers to create usable and functional SaaS applications/features.
Ability to develop pixel perfect UI/UX based on UI mockups and UX prototypes.
Specialist in React.js (hooks, context, state management, component architecture, and a deep understanding of React’s render logic and component life cycle).
A deep understanding of vanilla JS (ES2022, DOM manipulation, browser events, mobile unique features, data structures, array methods, drag & drop api, async, immutability).
Ability to configure both REST (axios, fetch) and GraphQL (apollo) clients within state and component lifecycle
HTML/CSS
React Router
Ability to create/manipulate SVG graphics at the code level to develop both icons and graphical representations for analytics.
Node.js (express.js, REST endpoints, GraphQL server and endpoints)
Understanding of frontend tooling, bundlers, and compilers (currently we use Vite.js but should also have an understanding of the fundamentals of Babel and Webpack and similar technologies)
Chrome Extensions
Good communication skills to coordinate with other engineers and stakeholders.
Ability to write clean, DRY, and extensible code.

Responsibilities:

Build and release SaaS platforms/features providing users easy and simple ways to create, control, deploy, etc. XGen Ai ML technologies.
Build and maintain core feature sets (these UI/UX features will be used often):
Analytics dashboards with graphical representations of data
Browser based code editors (currently using Monaco editor) to create UI elements that render on client’s sites.
Page builders to create UI elements in a No Code/Low Code way that render on client’s sites.
UI for configuring integrations with 3rd party APIs (such as email service providers).
UI that abstracts parsing logic into JSON formats needed for filter conditions and data structures for ML configurations.
Coordinate with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders
Build pixel perfect UI/UX off of approved mockups/prototypes
Build endpoints directly servicing the SaaS platforms (as needed and in coordination with the backend team)
Contribute to ideas and approaches to make UI/UX that is simple to control potentially complex configurations.
Contribute to architecture design planning on how data (that is used by the platforms) is stored
