As a Sr. Full-Stack JavaScript Developer, you will play a key role in maintaining and extending a flexible data-gathering framework used across web, mobile, and OTT platforms. Collaborate with other teams, support best practices, and implement data solutions that help shape the future of digital analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and extend a JavaScript framework for web and mobile analytics reporting.
- Develop tools and documentation to enable cross-team analytics implementation.
- Understand and manage data collection across multiple platforms.
- Test analytics and 3rd party tags, primarily based on network requests.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analysts to identify valuable data.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and communication with stakeholders regarding roadblocks and solutions.
- Implement solutions in line with design and schema requirements.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in both frameworks and vanilla JavaScript.
- Experience deploying and maintaining Node.js packages.
- Familiarity with web analytics solutions.
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
- Passion for media and news.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Adobe Analytics and Mparticle.
- Experience with Cypress network testing.
- Experience in AMP development.
- Familiarity with streaming video analytics.
- Proficiency in Python.
