We’re looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team and contribute to building Hazel. You’ll work across the full stack, implement webhooks for real-time event handling, and collaborate on backend and frontend development to create a seamless user experience.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js (Express, NestJS).
- Build and optimize full-stack web applications (React, Next.js, Vue, or similar).
- Implement webhooks and API integrations for real-time updates and third-party services.
- Design and manage databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB).
- Work on authentication and security (OAuth, JWT, role-based access control).
- Debug, optimize, and improve system performance and scalability.
- Perform and test off the shelf machine learning and AI models.
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js development.
- Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, or similar).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
- Understanding of database design and querying (SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience with Git and version control best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Firebase) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
