Technical Project Manager:
Optomi, in partnership with a leading global innovator dedicated to improving lives and driving meaningful change, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead a transformative technology initiative. This role will oversee the modernization of mission-critical enterprise applications, guiding the transition from legacy systems to a modern, consolidated platform. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, proven experience managing complex projects, and a track record of delivering measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project lifecycle for large-scale technology initiatives, including requirements gathering, development, testing, release management, and decommissioning of legacy systems.
- Drive strategic planning for platform consolidation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term technology roadmap.
- Facilitate workshops and collaboration sessions with business stakeholders, designers, and technical teams to define requirements and ensure clarity on deliverables.
- Partner closely with developers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to monitor build progress, manage dependencies, and address blockers promptly.
- Oversee comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure smooth production rollout.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks, manage priorities, and ensure project timelines are met.
- Utilize tools such as JIRA for task management, documentation, workflow tracking, and reporting.
- Support technical decisions and provide guidance on platform choices, rebuild strategies, and system integrations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing large-scale, transformative technology projects with measurable business outcomes.
- Strong technical understanding of application rebuilds, platform migrations, and modern technologies (e.g., Foundry, React).
- Experience with enterprise-level requirements gathering, testing, and release management.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and support new platforms, consolidate systems, and retire outdated applications.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across diverse, cross-functional teams.
