I’m partnering with a YC-backed startup that’s redefining how online communities are built. Think “Shopify for communities” - empowering creators, coaches, and experts to own and shape how people engage online.
They’ve already hit seven-figure ARR, process thousands in transactions each month, and have a battle-tested product loved by hundreds of customers. Now, they’re hiring one of their final early engineers to take the front-end (and product experience) to the next level.
Why This Role Stands Out
- You’ll join a tiny, senior founding team who know their craft inside out.
- You’ll own product surfaces end-to-end, with huge creative freedom to shape what gets built.
- You’ll get all the autonomy of an early engineer, without the chaos of a 0→1 product.
- You’ll help architect the platform that underpins the next wave of AI-powered community tools - integrating MCP and agentic systems.
What You’ll Work On
- Build and refine React and React Native features that drive growth and user delight.
- Collaborate closely with founders to scope, prioritize, and ship new features fast.
- Push the limits of type-driven development using modern TypeScript.
- Help design rails for AI coding agents to autonomously create new functionality.
- Influence key technical and product decisions - you’ll be in the room for all of them.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of software engineering experience (ideally in startups or as a founder).
- Deep TypeScript expertise - you care about functional programming and strong typing.
- Skilled with React; React Native experience is a bonus.
- You’re pragmatic, product-minded, and care deeply about user experience.
- You thrive in autonomous, fast-moving environments and like solving real customer problems.
The Setup
- Fully remote, aligned to Eastern Time (US) hours.
- Salary: $160K-$180K USD, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
- Equity (~0.3%) on offer - you’ll be a genuine part of the company’s upside.
This is a rare chance to join a validated, profitable startup still early enough that every line of code you write will shape the company’s trajectory.
If you’re a TypeScript-savvy builder who values product craftsmanship and wants to work alongside world-class engineers, drop me a message - I’ll share more details and set up an intro.
