Senior Frontend Architect
Location: Plano, TX (On-site) or Remote – U.S. Based
Compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 annually
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Architect to design, develop, and scale high-performance frontend systems using ReactJS and Micro Frontends (via Module Federation). This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can combine technical leadership, architectural vision, and hands-on coding to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable web applications.
Primary Responsibilities
System Architecture & Planning
- Design and implement frontend architectures leveraging ReactJS and Micro Frontends via Module Federation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to plan, assess, and deliver efficient, extensible, and sustainable solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Define and maintain reusable, component-based UI frameworks consistent with modern design systems.
- Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless API integrations and optimized release pipelines.
Application Development & Optimization
- Build and maintain complex browser-based applications using HTML, CSS, Tailwind, JavaScript, React, and Redux.
- Configure and manage Webpack or similar tools to streamline build and deployment processes.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and defects across large-scale applications.
- Develop shared component libraries and reusable UI elements for use across multiple development teams.
- Architect and support Micro Frontend environments to enable modular, scalable development.
- Optimize application performance, Webpack compilation efficiency, and code delivery pipelines.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional frontend development experience.
- Advanced expertise in HTML, CSS, Tailwind, JavaScript, React, and Redux.
- Proven hands-on experience implementing Micro Frontends using Module Federation.
- Strong understanding of Webpack and modern build systems.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Bitbucket/Stash.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative team environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with React Native for mobile applications.
- Familiarity with AWS integrations and deployment environments.
- Background in NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra) or relational databases (e.g., Oracle).
- Prior experience in eCommerce or retail application domains.
