We’re seeking a passionate and seasoned Software Engineer who can design, develop, and maintain web applications that support our core business operations. The perfect fit for us is a full-stack developer with a keen eye on React, Django, Python, and Microsoft SQL Server. Day to day:

New features and development. Don’t follow what everyone else does
Anything from integrations with Kelmar and a client or Kelmar and vendor of a client
Legacy upgrades of our older systems – working on modernizing to .NET/C# à Django/Python
Pop up client requests/ customizations
Changes to internal applications
Very fluid in terms of what we are working on
Development team – Simon and this person
Design/Architecture – want them to have ideas, some experience to the table, etc.
Example – new API development, expect ground floor up – some experience
We are developing more internal API’s

Must Haves:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience (3-6 years could outweigh)
3–6 years of professional full-stack development experience – 50/50 to 70/30
Proven expertise delivering production web applications using React (18+), Django (4.x), and Python (3.x)
Restful API development
JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
SQL Server – writing stored prod, understanding how they affect server – CIO does most of DB side of things anyways – but familiarity
Ability to work independently
Confident – ability to pushback or give feedback
Strong English skills – strong communication – no language barrier
version control (Git)
automated testing – anything is fine – we are rolling out a sandbox network as well
DevOps practices – familiar with (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOops), containerization (docker, K8) – their own DC – not aws/google
