Job Title: Full Stack .NET Developer with React
Type: 4-month contract, capacity support, potential extension
Location: Fully remote, must be located in the United States and work Central Time hours
Compensation: $45 to $65 per hour, W-2
Overview
Our client is seeking a mid level Full Stack .NET Developer with solid experience across .NET, React, and SQL to support and maintain a legacy application over the next four months. This role sits on a small, highly collaborative development team where work moves quickly and deadlines are tight. The ideal consultant is confident and competent working across the stack, comfortable with both technical and non technical stakeholders, able to deliver pragmatic solutions that meet customer needs, and able to take a consultative approach when requirements are not fully defined.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain an existing legacy .NET application, front end and back end
- Implement minor enhancements, UI updates, and feature refinements using React and JavaScript
- Contribute to server side development using C# and .NET, including APIs and integration points
- Write and adjust SQL queries, views, and stored procedures as needed for application support
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and deliver timely fixes under tight timelines
- Collaborate closely with a small team of developers to prioritize work and coordinate releases
- Work directly with technical and non technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and align on pragmatic solutions
- Take a consultative approach with the business, offering options, trade offs, and clear recommendations
- Participate in code reviews, follow established coding standards, and contribute to improving code quality
- Provide clear, proactive communication on status, risks, and timelines while working independently in a remote environment
Required Experience and Skills
- 3 to 6 years of professional experience as a .NET developer in a full stack role
- Practical experience with C# and .NET, including ASP.NET MVC and or .NET Core
- Hands on experience building or maintaining front end features with React
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, familiarity with TypeScript is a plus
- Solid experience writing and working with SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front end and back end services
- Experience working in smaller teams where priorities can shift and deadlines are tight
- Proven ability to work directly with both technical and non technical stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts in plain language, and a pragmatic mindset focused on customer value
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git
- Experience supporting legacy applications in a production environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI and CD pipelines, such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
- Experience with ticketing and change management tools
- Prior consulting or client facing project experience
