Senior Full-Stack Engineer
We are seeking a modern Software Engineer to join a lean, high-autonomy team building a new AI-native platform from the ground up. This is a "startup-within-a-company" environment where you will be the second engineering hire but within a 50+ year old company with stability!
We're looking for a senior engineer who understands how systems work end to end and can help build and evolve a modern platform.
This role is for engineers who think in trade-offs, understand tech debt, and care about operating real systems in production.
Responsibilities
- Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
- Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
- Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
- Support test and deployment of new products and features
- Participate in code reviews
What matters
- Strong systems thinking and architectural judgment
- Next.js, typescript, Node (open to other stacks but comfort level here is key)
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Cloud + DevOps experience (building, deploying, operating)
- Comfortable with logging, tracing, debugging, and production support
- Preference for functional or functional-inspired programming styles
- Uses modern tools (including AI/LLMs) to move faster
