What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of mobile engineers, promoting best practices in architecture, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Own the end-to-end release process for mobile applications, ensuring stable, timely, and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to refine and prioritize the mobile backlog.
- Break down complex features into manageable tasks, assign work across the team, and ensure timely execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional technical solutions with backend, QA, DevOps, and other platform teams.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to uphold code quality and performance standards.
- Identify risks, manage escalations, and proactively resolve blockers in the delivery lifecycle.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the mobile space and recommend improvements.
What You Know:
- 7+ years of overall software development experience, with 4+ years in React Native.
- Proven experience leading mobile teams and managing the delivery of enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong understanding of iOS and Android ecosystems, mobile CI/CD pipelines, and app store submission processes.
- Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, mobile security practices, and performance optimization.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience integrating third-party SDKs and analytics tools.
- Familiarity with native development in Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java is a plus.
- Background in eCommerce, fintech, or customer-facing mobile applications.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Compensation Band:
$140 - $145K per annum
