As the Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of inventory flow by ensuring timely and accurate movement of products from manufacturers to our 3PL partners. It is crucial that you maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and maximize customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to streamline operations and uphold our commitment to excellence in inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Coordination: Monitor inventory levels at manufacturing facilities and warehouses, while proactively identifying shortages, overstocks, or discrepancies. Coordinate the transfer of inventory between manufacturing facilities and 3PL warehouses to optimize stock levels and minimize storage costs.
- Inventory Reporting: Generate weekly reports (and ad hoc as needed) on inventory levels, inbound shipments, and order fulfillment metrics. Conduct periodic audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records and identify discrepancies.
- Supplier & Logistics Coordination: Assist with production schedules, shipments, and inventory availability. Ensure timely delivery of finished products, maintaining accurate records of incoming inventory. Work with the Supply Chain Director to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, and tracking shipment status. Proactively identify and communicate transit issues or delays with logistics partners. Provide recommendations to resolve them promptly, minimizing disruptions to inventory flow.
- Customer Service: Partners with the internal and external teams to ensure the warehouse network is achieving the customer service requirements to achieve excellent customer experience.
- Accountable for professional working behavior to include building and maintaining constructive working relationships, implementing proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem solving while demonstrating V Shred’s core values.
- May perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities as needed.
- Limited travel may be required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of inventory and logistics inventory coordination or logistics management experience, preferably in the health and fitness industry or direct-to-consumer e-commerce.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools, such as ERP (NetSuite preferred), WMS, TMS, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrates a high degree of initiative, judgment and resourcefulness with the ability to find creative solutions to multi-faceted and/or time sensitive problems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Comfortable with autonomy and is self-motivated.
- Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment.
