The Opportunity:
We are looking for a passionate technical expert to maintain and improve our newly relaunched website. In this position, you will play a key role in ensuring proper maintenance and development of commercetools' website. You will be the contact person for site queries, collaborating with a motivated team of marketers and developers, overseeing day-to-day CMS activities, troubleshooting, and providing suggestions for improvements.
Please note: We are considering both mid-level and senior candidates for this position, which is reflected in the pay range.
Your Mission:
- Maintain and oversee current website structure
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using web development best practices
- Create website layouts and user interfaces with HTML and CSS
- Support the marketing team with identifying and developing new landing page components
- Gather/refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
- Troubleshoot and fix daily website issues and bugs
- Create and maintain documentation
What you need to succeed:
- Knowledge of PHP and modern frameworks such as Laravel
- 3+ years of experience in frontend development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern web APIs
- Experience with Wordpress or Statamic
- Proactivity in spotting issues and collaborating with the team to fix them
- You have a result-oriented mindset and the ability to break down complex data and provide structured reports
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Fluency in English
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with AWS (or another cloud solution) and other CMS
