Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Sr. Front End Developer to join their remote team. This role is integral to the Web Digital Experience (WDE) department, which develops and maintains user-facing web portals in both the consumer and commercial space.
As a Sr. Front End Developer, you will contribute to the technical design and development of cutting-edge web solutions, ensuring the technical feasibility of functional and technical requirements. You will also implement and maintain robust architecture, focusing on security, code quality, reusability, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, user-centric products
- Participate in code reviews
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our development processes and practices
- Foster a culture of learning and growth within the team, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skills Overview:
- 5+ years of experience as a Front-End developer
- Experience developing scalable, reusable components to support design systems, applying atomic design principles using modern frameworks
- Proficiency with React and popular React libraries and frameworks (e.g., Redux, React Router) and modern JavaScript (ES6+) and extensive experience with TypeScript
- Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3, CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, LESS)
- Proficiency with Git (Git workflows, branching, merging, and pull requests, etc.)
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience in developing e-commerce web solutions
- Knowledge of the Astro framework
- Jest/Cypress Experience with RESTful APIs and understanding of API authentication and authorization methods
