Job Description:

We are currently seeking candidates for FTTH Designer with experience in Fiber To The Home. The FTTH Designer will be responsible for producing fiber optic design and cable drawings, for jurisdictions and construction drawings which meet our customers’ expectations.

Essential Job Functions:

We're looking for someone that can work alone and online in Teams meetings, responsible, and proficient with experience in fiber optics to help us generate drawings based on the work of our engineering and field inspection teams. We need a hard and efficient worker we can trust to complete projects in a timely matter, who can work independently.

Ability to read information and instructions and interpret and analyze content from materials such as technical reports.

Ability to solve problems that are frequent and unique. may need to use creativity and judgement due to frequently changing conditions.

Ability to complete tasks with latitude to decide what work will be required well in advance of actual activities.

Ability or knowledge of using the following machines, tools, equipment, electronic devices, and software; Chrome, Google Earth, Excel, Word, and PC laptop.

Must also be willing to learn new software as necessary.

Prior Fiber Optics FTTH Experience:

Previous design experience. A plus but not necessary – must be willing to learn

Technical Skills:

Vetro Fiber Map Preferred

Microsoft suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Google Earth

Acrobat PDF

PC Laptop basic troubleshooting

Smartsheets

Skills and Abilities:

Critical thinking skills and capable of analyzing issues and solving problems.

Ability to work as a team and promote teamwork. Excellent communications with Engineers and Construction crews, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and customers.
