Capstone IT is assisting our client, a prominent leader in the health data utility industry, in hiring a Full Stack Developer for a Contract-to-Hire role based in Omaha, NE. This hybrid position requires onsite presence for the first week, followed by a transition to a hybrid schedule. In this role, you will design and implement cloud-based software solutions that support our client’s healthcare data-sharing initiatives. You will work on both front-end and back-end development, developing and scaling cloud-based systems while ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with UX/UI designers, leadership, and the engineering team to build new features, contributing to DevOps practices, and implementing CI/CD pipeline processes. You will also participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, ensuring that the applications meet business needs and technical standards.

Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and GO.
Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, etc.).
Cloud computing, microservices architecture, and DevOps expertise (CI/CD pipelines).
Ability to work with React, Spring, SQL, REST, and FastAPI.

Responsibilities:

Build scalable, cloud-based solutions that enhance user experience and support business growth.
Develop new features and infrastructure based on evolving project and business requirements.
Ensure application performance, uptime, scalability, and maintain high standards for code quality.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
Design and implement software across the full stack, from front-end to back-end.
Recommend and implement long-term application solutions that align with business goals.
Promote and integrate DevOps practices, enhancing CI/CD pipeline processes.
Plan and execute tests, automate processes, and ensure software best practices are followed.
Develop contingency plans to maintain system reliability and reduce potential risks.
Follow Agile methodologies to continuously improve development practices and team workflows.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in application development.
Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and GO or equivalent technologies.
Experience with AWS services like Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, S3, SQS, and SNS or equivalent technologies.
Knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies such as React, Spring, SQL, REST, and FastAPI.
Experience with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and cloud services. (preferred)
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines. (required)
Familiarity with Git for version control. (preferred)
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Experience in responsive web application design using frameworks like Bootstrap or Material Design.
Experience designing and using REST/GraphQL Web Services.
Ability to translate design mockups and prototypes into functional application designs.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Unix shell scripting.
Experience with Agile frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meticulous attention to detail.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
