Role: Senior full-stack developer- Remote Job

Location: Louisville KY

Duration: 15 months – Possible extensions

Rate: $75-$100/hr. . (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Architecture & ImplementationArchitect and develop a secure, scalable data platform designed for hybrid deployment.
Integrate core data storage solutions (structured and unstructured), including vector databases, time-series databases, and traditional data lakes.
Design modular interfaces to support pluggable AI models, including public cloud-hosted LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and open-source alternatives (e.g., LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon).
AI Agentic FrameworkDesign and lead the implementation of an AI agentic framework that allows internal users to develop, deploy, and manage autonomous agents for data retrieval, transformation, decisioning, and analytics.
Define abstraction layers, orchestration mechanisms, and fine-grained control of agent capabilities using internal APIs and data contracts.
Software EngineeringDesign and develop REST APIs using a microservice architecture to support front-end interfaces of the agentic platform.
Design and develop REST APIs using a microservice architecture to support back-end interfaces and capabilities necessary for data ingress/egress.
Data & AI GovernanceDefine and implement robust data governance, lineage, and observability systems across the entire stack.
Enforce security, RBAC/ABAC, and privacy standards suitable for enterprise environments.

Collaboration & LeadershipPartner cross-functionally with data engineers, ML engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to bring the platform vision to life.
Mentor engineers and set technical direction, architecture standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Required:10+ years of experience in data architecture, distributed systems, or ML platform engineering.
Deep experience building on-premises or hybrid data systems (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Trino, Iceberg, Airflow).
Strong understanding of LLM architecture, embeddings, vector search, and agentic workflows.
Proven experience designing and implementing ML pipelines, inference runtimes, and data retrieval frameworks.
Proficiency with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java) and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Haystack, Hugging Face Transformers).
Demonstrated expertise in designing and building scalable, production-grade RESTful APIs, enabling seamless integration across distributed systems and AI-powered applications.
Preferred:Experience working with LLM orchestration frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and prompt engineering strategies.
Familiarity with open-source projects like LangGraph, AutoGPT, CrewAI, and ReAct-based agent architectures.
Strong communication skills and a track record of delivering complex systems in fast-paced environments.
