Founding Engineer | AI Security Start-Up | Remote | up to $225-250K base + Equity

I'm working with a stealth security startup in the AI adversarial simulation space looking to hire a Founding Engineer to take ownership of a production-ready platform and scale it to enterprise grade. You'll be taking over the technical reins of the founder but with direct support and architectural guidance, and with full autonomy over implementation, infrastructure, and technical direction.

Highlights:

~Ownership over technical direction. The founders are deeply collaborative and want a fellow collaborator with opinions

~Mix of founders from technical security backgrounds and security VC investment with hands on experience with several successful exits

~Fully remote work. Founders based in LA so either meeting once a month for local candidates or once a quarter for folk based elsewhere

~ Product validation from 40 CISOs and strong commercial pipeline

Requirements:

~Strong experience in backend engineering (Python preferred)

~Medium experience in frontend engineering (Node.js / React preferred)

~AWS (ECS, EFS, networking, IAM, core services)

~Experience designing and operating multi-tenant SaaS in cloud environments

~Some familiarity with AI/LLM production applications. Could be from using coding LLMS all the way through to designing multi-agent orchestration, but you will get to learn this

~A passion for or a deep interest in the security field

Likely background:

~A successful candidate might be from another security company, or the gaming world (given the emulation platform), or any other industry. They do need to have a passion for security though. Likeliest to be at Staff or Senior level but we are very open to more or less experience.
