Data Scientists utilize statistics, machine learning, and visualization techniques to derive insights and create predictive models. Equipped with data tools including data centric programing languages, data bases, and cloud technology, Data Scientists solve business challenges and answer questions.

Responsibilities:

Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
Present information using data visualization techniques
Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand customer/company needs
Research and develop statistical learning models
Execute analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and make an impact across various domains

Requirements:

2+ years of professional working experience in a Data Science role
Industry experience with machine learning projects
Experience in data analysis, engineering, and statistical modeling
A demonstrated pattern of continuous improvement of both self and team
Very strong problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or other quantitative field is a plus

Desired Experience or Skills:

Understands and is familiar with the principles, tools, and methodologies required for big data manipulation
Implements new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models
Understands custom data models and develops algorithms to apply to data sets
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.)
