We're seeking a passionate Data Scientist to join our core team and help build the brain behind PrivateBlok. You will use Gen AI and other machine learning algorithms to craft a robust and highly capable copilot interface. This is an exciting opportunity to build a best-in-class verticalized domain platform using LLMs and leveraging the latest in Generative AI.
Research And Innovation
The core responsibilities for the job include the following:
- Dive deep into the latest research papers and stay ahead of the curve in AI/ML developments.
- Explore the incredible potential of Large Language Models and figure out how to make them even smarter for our specific use case.
Building And Scaling
- Design and build robust ETL pipelines that can handle massive amounts of financial data efficiently.
- Create end-to-end backend services that our users will rely on daily.
- Develop comprehensive testing frameworks to ensure our AI models perform consistently.
Collaboration And Impact
- Work closely with our talented team to fine-tune open-source LLMs for our specific needs.
- Partner with different teams to ensure we're building features that truly solve our customers' problems.
- Be part of the decision-making process on technical architecture and product direction.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Python development experience - You should be comfortable writing clean, efficient Python code.
- Web framework expertise - Hands-on experience with Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
- Database proficiency - Working knowledge of MySQL, MongoDB, Redis (or similar technologies).
- Data science toolkit - Strong experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Pydantic-ai, and LangGraph.
AI/ML Knowledge
- Proficiency in transformer models (BERT, T5 GPT, or other LLMs) and experience with techniques like NER, classification, and question answering.
- Experience with vector databases and similarity search.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques.
- Familiarity with embeddings and their practical applications.
- Experience with NLP and ML evaluation metrics for assessing model performance.
- Proven ability to design statistical experiments and systematic evaluation frameworks for ML models.
- AWS experience is definitely a plus.
