The Role:
The Founding Software Engineer will take charge of developing the company’s core AI agent, playing a critical role in shaping both the product and the technology stack. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a startup environment, where flexibility, ownership, and adaptability are essential. The role requires working across the full stack, driving the technical direction of the product while contributing hands-on to its development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and architecture of the AI chatbot, ensuring seamless automation for inbound sales.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and maintain both front-end and back-end systems.
- Utilize Python and TypeScript, while leveraging cloud services like AWS and GCP to ensure scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to understand user needs and deliver impactful features.
- Ensure code quality and reliability through best practices in testing, documentation, and version control.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth as the team expands.
- Stay hands-on with coding and problem-solving, dedicating about 50% of time to active development.
Qualifications:
- Full-stack engineering experience, with a focus on delivering scalable, user-centric applications.
- Strong skills in Python, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.
- Experience building products from the ground up, particularly in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working in an evolving, dynamic space where you’ll need to wear multiple hats.
- Passion for building AI or ML-driven solutions from scratch (0-1 experience).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to translate technical needs into business outcomes.
- Previous startup experience is highly valued, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on role is essential.
- Machine learning experience is a plus
Compensation:
This role offers a competitive salary of $150,000, plus equity options.
