What you’ll do
You’ll be one of the key engineers shaping the user experience of our consumer app — working directly with our CTO (ex-Amazon) and design team to bring Passive’s front-end to life.
Your responsibilities:
- Build and maintain our React and React Native front-end applications.
- Work closely with designers to translate Figma prototypes into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces.
- Implement smooth, high-performance UI interactions and animations.
- Optimize app speed, accessibility, and scalability across devices.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, data fetching, and performance improvements.
- Contribute to our front-end architecture and design systems.
- Participate in code reviews and help shape best practices for the dev team.
You’ll thrive here if you
- Have 3–5+ years of experience with React or React Native.
- Are comfortable working with TypeScript, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
- Care deeply about UX, performance, and clean, maintainable code.
- Love solving complex problems and simplifying them for the user.
- Enjoy collaborating in a startup environment where you have real ownership.
- Understand how front-end choices impact growth, retention, and user delight.
Bonus points for
- Experience with mobile app development (iOS/Android) using React Native.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-powered products or consumer apps.
- Knowledge of Firebase, GraphQL, or PostgreSQL.
- An eye for animation or micro-interactions (Framer Motion, Lottie, etc.).
- Prior experience in an early-stage startup or 0→1 product build.
