Founding Engineer
Location: Remote (U.S. preferred, SF Bay Area a plus)
Compensation: $150K–$250K base, total comp up to $400K+ (with equity)
Workplace: Remote-friendly with regular SF offsites and meetups

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Founding Engineer to own engineering from architecture to execution at zero-to-one scale. This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor, helping define both the technical direction and the engineering culture of the company.
As a founding IC, you will work directly with the founder and early team to build fast, elegant, high-performance systems that will serve millions of users worldwide.
What You’ll Do
- Own architecture and implementation across the stack (frontend, backend, infra)
- Build scalable, performant systems to serve a global user base
- Lead product engineering with speed, precision, and care
- Drive technical direction, code quality, and engineering standards
- Work closely with product & design to deliver intuitive, user-friendly features
- Make critical build vs. buy decisions with a bias toward impact
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience (IC role — hands-on coding required)
- Strong frontend skills and proven design taste with consumer-facing products
- Experience productionizing and launching products from 0→1
- Ability to lead technical decision-making in fast-paced, product-focused settings
- Bonus: background in recommendation systems, product analytics, or viral loops
- Empathy for international/immigrant users is a strong plus
